Dinosaur Toys – Interactive, Robot Dinosaurs Make Ideal Dinopets

All kids seem to go through a dinosaurs phase at some point in their childhood. I’m not sure what the total fascination is but I would hazard a guess that these monster like creatures spark their imaginations and they want to learn everything they can about them. For kids that want a more interactive experience, the interactive dinosaur toys now available might be the best bet. Having a robotic pet is a huge craze this Christmas, so why not be original and go for a robotic dinopet instead of a hamster, cat, dog or parrot ? This article will detail three lovable dinopets that kids would like at Christmas.

The first dinopet is known as D-Rex. He is a Tyrannosaurus Rex – the apparent king of the dinosaurs according to us but I’m sure a few other species might have had something to say about that. I would say D-Rex is a funny toy that will have kids 6 and up in fits of laughter. Adults will probably get a kick out of him too (or maybe that should be a bite).

He is quite clever – he can sense movement and sound. He can also follow anything that moves or makes a sound. He can guard things and use his impressive set of fangs to bite anything that moves. He can also emit laugh inducing sound from both the front and the errr..back of his dinosaur frame. He will make different noises if you stroke him too. He is quite clever, fairly predictable after a while but mostly fun in the intervening period.

Pleo is a Camarasaurus. In fact his documentation says that he is an orphaned Camarasaurus, only a week old and needing some attention. He is looking for a loving home. It’s safe to say that Pleo is the more complex interactive dinosaur toy of the three presented here. In fact he is not really a toy. He can learn from his experiences and will grow (personality wise that is – not size wise) based on how you treat and bring him up.

He can also be happy, moody and a variety of affectations based on how you treat him (he even acts sleepy when his battery is running down). He has more mechanical and robotic parts than the other toys and also sports more sensors and a changeable software mind. This can be revised and constantly updated to give Pleo more functionality and apparent intelligence.

Kota is the last dinosaur described and he is also an infant. He is a young triceratops. In my experience, children are fond of about three main dinosaurs, triceratops always seems to make the cut so to speak. This is partly because he is one of the more distinctive looking dinosaurs that we know about.

Kota is made for younger children and toddlers to play with. He is what I would describe as a dinosaur rocking horse. He is large and younger children can ride on him. He will rock up and down and make dinosaur noises. Another option is to play music from him for children to sing along with. Kids can interactive with him by stroking his beely or feeding him a leaf. He will respond to this by pretending to eat, moving his head and other parts of his body, including the stumpy tail.
